What are the requirements if I want to sell on Amazon/Ebay platforms?
We require the full URL link to these storefronts. You also need to comply with Amazon/Ebay selling policy. Under their respective policies only GSL products are acceptable to be sold on these platforms. Please look at these links:

What do we do if the privacy protection is currently enabled on the website?
If you have privacy protection enabled on your WEBSITE we will not be able to verify the full details required as part of our application checks. Proof of the domain name and address that it is registered will be required. This can either be a copy of the invoice or a screenshot of the invoice, with any amounts redacted from the company you bought the domain name from, displaying the address and the domain and who it is registered to.

If the site is set to be live, does that mean you still want me to show which medicines, P's and GSL's, that I intend to supply online?
Yes, we need to be able to view the list of medicine on offer.
-
By asking to view a live website, do you mean the website should be fully running and accessible to the public?
We need to have access to the website in order to view the different web pages, and products being offered.
-
Does the Distance Selling Logo need to be shown on each page of our website for your review of the site?
You will not have access to the logo until we approve the application for registration. Once the application is approved you will receive confirmation and then you will get the access code to download the logo and display on your webpage. We will carry out an audit within 30days after approval to make sure your website is displaying the logo and you are complying with the regulations.
-
If the Distance Selling Logo is on every page of the website, it will be on pages that offer products which are not medicines, such as food supplements. Is that acceptable?
Yes, that’s acceptable, or you can display the logo on the header/footer of the webpage or display it individually on each medicinal product, or on the page where only medicinal products are sold on.
-
What are the requirements for the website itself?
The registered person must clearly display in a visible position their registered Distance Selling Logo on every page of the listed website(s) that relates to the medicine that they offer for retail sale online. MHRA’s expectation is that it does not have to be displayed on a general search engine page used by the website or at the stage of checkout.
The website that is used by the registered seller to retail medicines online must also contain the contact details of the MHRA and a hyperlink to the MHRA website. This information need only appear once on the website. The following contact details and website address should be used:
Distance Selling Logo Enquiries: MHRA, 10 South Colonnade, London, E14 4PU
Email info@mhra.gsi.gov.uk
Telephone: 020 3080 6000
Fax: 020 3118 9803

How can we inform you if we need to make changes to company name, address and website?
You will need to notify us of any changes to the application form e.g. contact details, address changes, removal of a website or the addition of websites. You can do this by logging on to the PCL Portal and submit a free Variation application to us.
-
Following registration to use the Distance Selling Logo what happens if our list of medicinal products changes? Do we need to inform you of the changes?
You do not need to notify us if your list of products changes and the products still fall within the same legal category you are currently approved for. However, you will need to notify us if you intend to sell medicinal products from a different legal category (e.g. if you are approved for GSL, but then, if you are a registered pharmacy, you wish to also sell P or dispense POMs). You can complete a free Variation application form on the PCL Portal and notify us of the changes you wish to make.

Can we transfer ownership for a Distance Selling Logo registration?
No. You cannot transfer a Distance Selling Logo registration to another legal entity.
